Why This Hurts

I am a visual learner, so in trying to make sense of why this is so distressing to so many I began looking at the timeline of events. The Infographic to the right is the timeline so far…the last two points are the beginnings of the process for modified Pupil Accommodation Review.

I am not sure who was aware that the Board of Trustees was proceeding on this, but I do know that there are some leaders who failed to let the school community know.

In the Initial Staff Report, the MOE template requires a report on the student well-being and the local community. What the report has failed to include is the impact the process has had in these two areas.

I have begun to gather information on this – and there is much evidence on negative impacts on communities involved in PARs as well as impacts on communities that have experienced trauma.
